September 2018 Recap!

September was a pretty quiet month for me but that was probably because I was working on my Las Vegas Trip travel video!


1. Holy Roly Ice Cream (Arcadia, CA) - @feastwithwest @ashyi

Holy Roly recently opened at Westfield Santa Anita and the ice cream I tried was delicious! I got the Strawberry Graham and my friend got the Ferrero Rocher. It was fun watching the staff make the ice cream and the space was so cute!


2. Foothill (Pasadena, CA)

This restaurant is a new and modern concept from the same owners of Twohey’s Restaurant. I loved the interior and the ambiance. My favorite items included the Port Wine Cheese, Salmon Tiki Salmon Salad, and Portabella Fries. They also served beautiful drinks, including Scorpion Bowl (giant drink bowl with a flame) and drinks with flower garnishes.

3. Wanderlust Creamery (Los Angeles, CA)

Wanderlust Creamery gave us a preview of Filipino American History Month (October) at Smorgasburg. Among the 12 available flavors, we tried half of them: Barako Coffee, Kalamansi Pie, Sans Rival, Sapin Sapin, Salted Duck Egg, and Pandan Tres Leches. Wanderlust never ceases to amaze me with their delicious flavors!



Other September collaborations:

Cracker Barrel and Mavrck wanted to promote fall items in their online store! There were a lot of fall-themed kitchen and home decor, and I decided to get a cast iron skillet.


I got the opportunity to collaborate with USC Auxiliary Services to help them photograph their cafes and dining options for students. I was surprised to learn of all the offerings at the Seeds Marketplace and that there were so many cafe options on campus!
