I recently got back from Chicago! It was a fun trip and that video should come out in a few weeks. In the meantime, check out my recap of an eventful month in May!
1. Loaded Cafe (Bellflower, CA) - @foodiemobbb @lafoodieguy @mrbiggsmenu
Loaded Cafe wanted us to check out their new Mexican-inspired breakfast items, featuring Mazapan, a Mexican candy made from peanuts. I loved how they incorporated the candy into the menu, such as Mazapan waffles, pancakes, and crepes. We got the Mazapan Pancakes, along with some French Vanilla Iced Coffee, Asada Chilaquiles Plate, and Strawberry Blueberry Waffles. Everything was so delicious here!
2. Figat7th (Los Angeles, CA) - @therosegrp
Fig at 7th was celebrating National Hamburger Month! I loved visiting the food court a few months ago for National Noodle Month so it was fun coming back to check out the burger offerings, from places such as Five Guys, Gulp Sushi Ale House, The Melt, and George's Greek Grill. We tried the Angus Gyro Burger from George’s Greek Grill and Spicy Mission Burger from The Melt.
3. Limericks Tavern (Chino Hills, CA) - @ernslab_dotcom
Limericks Tavern opened its newest location in Chino Hills. We got to try from both the lunch menu and the dinner menu, and from my awesome experiences at the Alhambra location, I of course enjoyed all the food! I loved items, such as the Calamari, Irish “Pub” Nachos, Mac and Cheese, Scotch Egg, Ceviche, and the Shepherd’s Pie.
4. Sunmerry Happy Lemon (Monterey Park, CA) - @misspiggieeats
Sunmerry Happy Lemon wanted to promote two new items: Zan-Zan Bao (Dirty Bun) and Strawberry beverages. The Zan-Zan Bao were croissants filled with chocolate cream and cocoa powder dusted on top, and the new Strawberry drinks came in Lychee Jelly or Rock Salted Flavors, with a choice of green tea or black tea. They were very refreshing!
5. Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts (Hollywood, CA) - @1on1pr
Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts and Big Mouth, Inc. collaborated for National Donut Day. This was my first time trying Trejo’s Donuts and I loved the specialty donuts. I also got to take a donut mug and a cold brew home! I have been a big fan of the products from Big Mouth, Inc., so I was excited to be part of helping promote this!
Other May events/collaborations:
I was invited as the guest of @foodiemobbb to be part of a media tour through Innovative PR of L.A. Times Food Bowl Night Market at Grand Park. We got to try samples of food from: 3 Wheel Cafe, Dang Brother Pizza, Lobsterdamus, Broad Street Oyster Co, Big Mozz, Cheezus, and Todo Verde. This was my first time exploring the entire park, and it was fun seeing all the variety of offerings and vendors at this event.
