Pasta with Plant-Based Beef

I was curious to try plant-based beef since I had tried The Abbot's Butcher products before.  I also needed to continue using my Parmesan cheese shavings from my previous Milk and Eggs post, Summer Fruit Salad with Prosciutto.  I hope you enjoy this quick and easy recipe!

Pasta with Plant-Based Beef

 

You will need:

Fusili pasta
Plant-based beef
Pasta sauce
Parmesan cheese shavings
Basil leaves

Prep time: 40 minutes.  Serves 8.

 

1. Cook pasta as instructed on the package.  While pasta is cooking, heat oil in a pan and sautee the beef until cooked through, for 5 minutes.

2. Drain the pasta and rinse through with cold water and drain again.  Set the pasta aside and use the same pot to heat up the pasta sauce.

3. Add the cooked beef into the sauce and stir until the sauce is bubbly.  Mix the pasta with the sauce and garnish with parmesan cheese and basil leaves.
