We are already heading to the end of 2023! I can’t believe how fast the year has gone by. It was a memorable last few months getting media invites to some awesome spots.
1) Mrs. Fish and Perch (Los Angeles, CA)
Mrs. Fish invited me for dinner at their restaurant and for drinks at their sister restaurant, Perch, which is also a rooftop bar. We got Kiri and Yuzu Blossom cocktails, Salmon Carpaccio, Renkon Chips, Seared Tuna Crispy Rice, Steamed Clams, Tokyo Filet, Miso Black Cod, Emoji Cooler and Kiyomi cocktails, Amberjack, Sea Urchin, Salmon, Golden Yuzu Roll, Fatty Tuna, and Sorbet Trio (Raspberry, Lemon, Mango) from Mrs. Fish, and My Fair Lady and Otto cocktails from Perch. We loved the vibe here and enjoyed everything we ordered. It was such a memorable evening!
2) Luna Grill (Chino Hills, CA)
Luna Grill recently launched a new item on their menu: the 7-Layer Gyro Bowl. It comes with shaved gyro meat, your choice of base (rice, salad, or both!), pepperoncini, pickled onions, tomato-cucumber medley, and hummus, and topped with your choice of sauce. I got a mix of rice and salad and topped it with garlic feta! It was such a great balance of ingredients.since I usually do not like to consume too much rice or proteins.
3) King's Fish House (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) - @b_public
King's Fish House invited me to check out their restaurant at Victoria Gardens, which I hadn’t been there in a while, so it was worth a trip out there for me. I had previously walked by this restaurant but never dined in before. We got the 1st Mate, Miso Yaki Wild Chilean Sea Bass, and Grilled Octopus Caponata. The presentation of the food was excellent and overall, it was a great dining experience!
4) Bacari (Sherman Oaks, CA) - @js2pr
I got an invite to visit Bacari’s newest location in Sherman Oaks. I had always been curious about Bacari so it was an awesome opportunity to finally check it out! I got the Taramasalata, Shrimp Ceviche, Chilaquiles, Smoked Salmon Pita, Avocado Toast, Socal Staple, Golden, Mad Mango Sour, Jolly Good, and Bacari Ice Cream. We loved the concept here and enjoyed the ambiance and the entire experience!
