May 2019 Recap!

I have been traveling lately, but I was still able to check out a few awesome spots in May! Check out my May recap below!

1. Califlower Pizza

Califlower Pizza wanted to share with me their gluten-free pizzas. It turns out they serve pizzas on cauliflower or sweet potato crusts! I got the Art of Pesto on a cauliflower crust since I love the combination of pesto, artichokes, mozzarella cheese, chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. The crust was very delicious, and I felt healthy eating it!

2. Cauldron Ice Cream (Temple City, CA)

Cauldron Ice Cream wanted me to stop by to help promote their new seasonal flavors, Thai Tea-Ana and Strawberry Shortcake. I tried the Thai tea ice cream flavor and it tasted just like Thai tea. I love Thai tea and it was my first time having it in ice cream form!

3. Locca Churros + Tea (Mission Viejo, CA) - Guest of @missmisschelle

Locca Churros + Tea invited us to be a part of their grand opening. Their drink menu was awesome and they even served Bocadillos (ice cream with churros). We got the Jasmine Milk Tea, Crazy Brown Milk Tea, Vanilla Matcha and Rose Vanilla Matcha, and a few of their Bocadillos. I loved trying their churros; they were so fresh and crunchy!

4. Mee and Greet (Los Angeles, CA) - Guest of @shelleyeatz

I was so happy to finally check out Mee and Greet, known for their Pan Asian cuisine. We got the Banh Mi, Ma Jiang Chicken Noodle, Chinese Chicken Salad, and Popcorn Chicken. Every dish had such amazing flavors, and the sauces they used were so memorable, I would definitely buy a bottle of each of their sauces!

5. Jane Q (Los Angeles, CA) - @breadandbutterpr

I was invited to check out Jane Q at the Kimpton Everly Hotel in Hollywood. The location was excellent, as it was close to Pantages and other popular spots. The hotel itself was beautiful and the restaurant itself was very spacious and photogenic. We got the Flat Iron Steak, Sausage Pizza, Poached Pears + Burrata, Gulf Shrimp Parfait, Roasted Sweet Potato, and Infused G&T's (gin and tonic).

6. Limericks Tavern (Chino, CA) - @lifewitherns

Limericks Tavern wanted me to come by to check out their Spring/Summer menu and to share some of their happy hour items. I had no idea they had all-day happy hour! Pictured are the Shrimp Skewers, Hipster Burger, Impossible Burger, Bruschetta, and some items from their happy hour, including wings, burgers, and tacos! Everything was delicious as always!

Other events/collaborations:

I had been invited as a foodie for Platform 35’s launch party, but I decided to offer my services for event photography instead, and they agreed. It was a great experience photographing this new food hall and all of its offerings!
