January came and went, just like that! Hope 2020 has been a great start for everyone; it has been for me, and I look forward to what the year will bring!
1) Junbi Matcha (Los Angeles, CA)
Sip Matcha rebranded to Junbi Matcha and I happened to stop by on its debut, on the first day of Smorgasburg! I was drawn in by the new colorful logo! I got to try the new Yuzu Dragon Fruit Matcha, as well as get a Magic Matcha.
2) Fika Fika Coffee (Arcadia, CA) - @eatslucywang
A new coffee shop opened up in the SGV, and it is so cute inside! Their drinks are so beautiful and the interior is very modern. We got the Rose Flower Latte, Butterfly Pea Vanilla Flower Latte, Avocado Toast, and Berries Farm Waffle. I heard they recently started serving ice cream, so I’ll be back soon to check it out!
3) Marugame Udon (Los Angeles, CA)
Marugame Udon invited me to try out a new exclusive menu item, only available at the Sawtelle location for a limited time: The Confidential. It is a crispy chicken sando with shichimi sweet potato fries and a curry mayo dip. This meal was such an excellent combination and the sando was delicious! I also couldn’t get enough of that curry mayo dip!
Other events/collaborations:
We got to visit Paderia Bakehouse again to do more photography. We watched the Ube Cheesecake being made and we also took home cookies and a new box design to style for Valentine’s Day.
